Vanguard appoints BlackRock veteran Salim Ramji as its next chief executive. He will succeed Tim Buckley as the first outsider to run the company.
Ramji will join Vanguard in July, according to a statement emailed on Tuesday. He was in charge of exchange-traded funds and index investments when he worked at BlackRock, Vanguard's biggest competitor.
